I don't think I can be of much help here.
Jake is considered (I guess) more of an American Basset. Ellie is more of a European (much more wrinkly). I have not really heard of a Brazilian.
Jake is 13 yo and hovers around 65 lbs. Ellie is about 10-11 mo. and is about 45 lbs.
All my bassets have had very distinct personalities and quirks. Jake, not much into toys or balls, likes raw hides... but only to "hide" (and not very well, tends to put them in Open corners). His "turn-ons" are treats and affection.
Ellie loves playing with stuffed/squeaky toys, chasing balls and will destroy a raw hides in no time. Also a glutton for belly rubs and cuddling.
Abby (RIP) loved stuffed squeaky toys, but afraid of balls, and not much into chews.
Sophie (RIP... not a basset) loved stuffed toys, but would only carry around her "babies", liked chews, not into balls.
I raised/trained all my dogs pretty much the same way. they just have their own personalities and likes/dislikes.
Kinda' like Kids. My parents raised my brother and I in the same house, same way, and we are two different people.
Embrace their differences, and spoil them both rotten!
