Hi we have a 1 yr old rescued basset princessalled Lila

we are looking for a proper bed for her, but we live in a particular country that is very hot and humid. She LOVES blankets and soft stuff including our bed (sice she recently learned how to climb in by herself).

At night thee is no problem we turn on the a/c and she sleeps like a baby we even cover er with a blanket just in case it gets too cold but during the day, we are not home and even if we are the A/C is mostly off. so we are looking for a bed that she will like (hopefully more than ours) but that is not too hot for her to lie dow durign the day.

Also since bassets are so particular, you know short legs long body and all, we dont know if the bed should have any particular caracteristic for her benefit and safety.

any sugestion is apreciated

the basset rescue where ours came from uses karunda beds (think I've spelled it correctly)

they are slightly raised so air can circulate underneath but low enough for a basset.

we take the wooly/fuzzy coverings off bedding in the summer and substitute pillow cases or sheets for coolness.
