We took Winston for his second surgery to remove his mass cell tumor last Tuesday. He was on morphine and I have to give him his antibiotics and pain killer twice a day and warm water compressed everyday.

I didnt expect the stitches is going to be this huge!!! It broke my heart to see him like this. I feel really bad. BUT knowing he is going to be okay, priceless.
I hope he doesn't have to be like this anymore.

Poor Winston. Bogie can sympathize since he has just healed up from a whale of a scar on his tummy for rock removal from his intestines. Winston will quickly heal I'm sure, and the hair will tend to hide the scar. Lots of healing drool from here.
Arooos from Bogie!!

Thanks for the support guys!
After we pass the first 7 days and if the situation improves, then I will feel much better.

Today is just his second day and he seems okay with everything. He just keeps looking for me at home and tries to stay close to his mommy to get some comfort. He loves the warm water compressed for some reasons.
I don't know why? May be it soothes the stitches??

:)

That is a big ol mess of stitches, ouch. :(

But in that second pic, he has a look of determination: "This is a bummer, but I'm gonna be good as new, durn it!"

Minnie and Dudley slingin' a bunch of healing drool your way, Winston.

Poor Winston! Believe it or not, this is probably much harder on you than it is on him. I was also very surprised at the size of Moe's incision when he had his cyst's removed. The scars were double to triple the length of the area taken up by the cysts themselves. All healed well though, and today you cannot even see the scars where he had his three cysts removed.

I hope Winston is right as rain soon. You, too...
