So for a while now I've been keeping in contact with the wife of the breeder for my puppy Bowser. Anyway, things have not been going very well for them lately and they just split up a few weeks ago. Then, this news story comes out:

Clip Syndicate Video: Bizarre case of identity theft

Apparently the man who bred Bowser had been living a false identity! Not only does this invalidate Bowsers paperwork, since the name of man on there is fake, but I can't imagine the trauma his wife is going through. They were already going to get a divorce but still...!
She had been staying with family and the dogs (Bowsers genetic parents, of course) were staying with him. We offered to house them until she could figure something out.
But sheesh....I have to selfishly admit i'm gladd we paid cash. I bet he was too though *lol*

I feel really bad for her. When I met her I could just tell she was worn down and stressed out, and lonely in that marriage. This is probably the best thing that could happen to her. I wish Bowser had been healthier, but some of that was probably my fault too...not knowing about the protein when he was little, and walking him on stairs, etc.

ANyway...kinda freaky!

not knowing about the protein when he was little,
Study after study has not show any relationship between protein level puppies consummed and any joint or orthopeadic growth issues the two nutritional factors that do have a coorolation are food energy ie calories consumed and the total calcium in take and the calcium/phosporous ration. large breed dogs actual need less calcium, than smaller breeds.

Still, he did grow rather quickly on puppy food, and his growth came to a stop when i switched it to adult food. Due to his uneven sized front legs (bone, not muscle makes the size difference) I can't help but think that if he weighed less it would be less stress on his feet. Also we let him run willy nilly up and down he stairs.

Lightning&Stomps: I wouldn't think so. I guess right now they don't have a DA assigned to the case and she's going to have to get a lawyer. Some other people and I have been advising her to look into this a bit more because it doesn't seem fair or right and really, he gets a lawyer on the tax payers bill but she has to shell out bucks to get representation when she's been a victim? She worked two jobs all these years and meanwhile he was filing things under a false name. I don't know too much else about it...but it just seems weird all around!
