Dozer was barking outside, so I went out to see what all the noise was about. Dudley followed me, and he took of for the fence. There it was, a cat just on the other side of the fence, just sitting there.

Cats are evil and take great pleasure in taunting and tormenting innocent dogs. You can clearly see it's true by the way the cat gets tantalizingly close to the fence. Your boys are clearly being teased. Our Pussywillow used to sit just outside the reach of the invisible fence by mere inches to tease Moe and Tally. Puss KNEW where all the fence wires were and would sit just outside, calmly washing her paws and occasionaly looking with disdain at poor Moe and Tally barking hysterically a short distance away. She seemed to take such pleasure in tormenting them. It's a cat's nature to tease and torment. Dogs, however, are angelic and completely innocent of such cruelty...
