I don't know all the details, but I just got word from Mike's Mom that Toughy went to the bridge today...I know he had lots of friends here who would want to know. Our hearts are breaking for Mike and his family...

I'm so very sorry to hear the sad news of Toughy's passing. Seeing what Micheal and Toughy could do together gave me hope and inspiration when I was learning to train Moe. My deapest sympathies to Mike and his family.
I am so sorry to hear the sad news about Toughy. My thoughts are with you and your family Mike, wishing I could say something comforting. You and Toughy were a team, no doubt about that.
My thoughts and prayers and deepest condolence to you, Mike, in your loss of Toughy... he was a beloved of the forum here and we were all rooting for him.
So sad to hear about Toughy. You have been around since we started on the forum (I believe you might have even written a birthday ditty for Jake). Maizy and Jake are sending sweet slobber remembrances.
Farewell, Toughy. Sometimes the fight is just too much and the last hurdle too hard to get over. We enjoyed living vicariously through Toughy's exploits. He sure knew how to show people that bassets are NOT just lazy dogs with big ears! Rest in peace.
