I haven't been around the forums lately and I felt bad for not being here so I wanted to give y'all some updates on the devious and often inappropriate little Whiskey.
When we first brought her home, she was so teeny tiny.
She was barely four months old in that picture.
At five months she fit snuggly onto our new couch.
At six months she overflows.
She has offically resigned to sleeping in her crate, despite the fact that she still doesn't like it much. She barks in the morning to be let out, and she's doing very well with the puppy pads. Unfortunately she still has new bad habits that we're struggling to break. Counter surfing and eating her own poop (GAG!). Anytime she eats her poop, I brush her teeth with a warm water (and a small bit of baking soda) and she sits pretty well for this which is a first for any of our dogs. I've figured out how to clean her ears. I put down a bowl of water and when she's distracted, I'm able to wipe them out. Any other time, she outright refuses! She loves going on walks now, but hates going on car rides (which is another first for dogs). Next week we are buying her a life jacket and going to Grandma's house to see if she likes swimming.
She has become a very courteous watch dog.
And then of course . . . . she's still a basset so there are moments like this:
My little Whiskey is so big is breaks my heart. She'll turn 7 months next week!!!!
