UPDATE: August 3rd
I took Bogie to the vet this morning since he was still limping on his left front leg. When she lightly squeezed the area between the elbow and wrist on his left front leg (radius and ulna bones) Bogie would whimper. She took an x-ray, and it looks like panosteitis (Pano). She said it was a little unusual for a dog as old as Bogie, he was two in April, to have this, but also said Bassets don't go by the book anyway. He had a round of this in April 2006 as a 12 month old.

She is giving him Dermaxx, 1/2 tablet once a day, an anti flammatory and pain killing drug, and he is to rest staying in the x-pen or crate for at least five days. Then gradual walking. If he is still limping after 10 days back to the vet for further x-rays and testing.

:) His recovering left hind leg from ACL surgery is doing great. :) She showed us range of motion excercises we can start now on that leg. The poor guy has crashed and is snoozing on his bed now. He was a super patient, just laid there for the x-ray. Poor guy knows the drill after all his vet visits, and he loves her treats.

Boy, I hope your veterinarian likes that new boat or home addition you seem to have bought with Bogie visits. That poor little guy hasn't caught much of a break this year. Good luck.
