Needless to say Hugo had a lovely meal of best beef tripe, liver and dog sausages when we got home!!!
The certificate is on pride of place on the mantle piece!!!!
We are moving onto Silver now and attending ring craft lessons as I would like to have a crack at showing so if anyone has any tips on showing Bassests .....

Thanks all for your lovely messages , I think I will have to put ALOT of time and effort into the silver as Hugo like other Bassets does not do recall which I despair with and will only fetch stuff in the house!!!!
I am also starting ring craft classes and agility soon which I am thinking will get a laugh as Bassets are not automatically thought as agile dogs but Hugo can jump well and is very supple so we will be proving them all wrong as I know there are alot of Bassets doing very well at agility!
