Bogie is really doing great. We have survived the first two weeks of crate confinement. YEA!!! His incision is healing up nicely, his leg looks normal, he puts weight on it when he walks, limps very little, the hair is growing back, and he is very spoiled. Of course he was't spoiled before. Potty trips during the day, plus we take him outside morning, afternoon, and evening for him to lie on his pipe bed in the sun, which he loves. Then in the evening we sit on the floor with him, for belly rubs, and loving while we watch TV. Thanks heavens we are home (early retirement) and can do this with Bogie. Hubby will be home with him for the next week while I fly south to visit my 93 year old parents. He says the "guys" will be fine.
The challenge now is to keep him from bouncing when we take him out to potty. He feels good, has that sparkle back in his eye, and wants to go. So we keep him on a very snug leash, and endure his stares when we put him back in the crate. I just wanted to update everyone on his progress.

good boy boogie - you are nearly there. just think of all those lovely walks you can go on in two weeks time - you're little noise will be working overtime on those first few walks - you'll be a very tired little boy after taking in all those amazing new smells!!
