I have a serious problem with Gudrun. She seems to have too high center
of gravity, when she's lying down, she will flip over on her back. I'm sure
this is very annoying for her, so I've been thinking if there's some kind of
device preventing this from happen.

This is how it is by now:

This is how I think it could be:

Such a device would be pricless. My Dolly ends up on her back anytime she is asked to do anything she doesn't want to.Thank goodness just the whisper of the word cookie gets her right up ;)

She needs stabilizers like they have on cruise ships to keep them from wallowing in the water! Come to think of it, I guess you could consider a basset a very slow moving cruise ship. Cruise to the food bowl, cruise to the sofa, cruise outside. Roll over . . . .

Hmmm.

I think you're onto something. But you might want to consider the benefits of a gyroscope for these kinds of problems.

Two words: Flying Buttresses. If they can help the great cathedrals of Europe stay upright I'm sure they can stabilize ol' "Gudrun".
