The Rainbow Bridge

It gets me every time. When both of my childhood dogs died I read that poem on a daily basis and cried while hugging their pictures. That poem helped me so much. I also get upset when reading that poem thinking about how lost I will be when my 2 now go (I've got a long ways to go they're both young.)

Yeah, that's what gets me too. Scully is a healthy 9-year-old now and I hope she lives to be old as dirt (!!!), but I can't read these rainbow bridge things without bawling my eyes out because I find myself thinking about how it's gonna be when it's her turn to move on to the bridge. I see some serious therapy in my future!!

In the long run, the Love is worth the inevitable loss, but I know what you mean about dreading 'the day'.

I think I'll go hug Minnie & Duds now, and give 'em a treat for no reason at all!

I'm the same way - I don't know why I even read them in the first place because I know they'll make me cry. This version really hit me hard - I guess it was the poem/music combination.
