Thad's passing is a significant loss to the basset community. While in Scottsdale, I made a CHF donation in memory of Mary Ann Svizeny, former Chair of the BHCA's Research Committee. It's very sad to be making another CHF donation "in memory of" so soon.

I still can't believe he's gone. Thad was one of the inspirations for the BHCA Hunt Test, and hence, one of my mentors and heroes. The Basset world has suffered a great loss. My heart goes out to his wife Carol. I don't know what else to say. I can't believe he's gone....but never forgotten. Vaya con Dios Thaddeus. With respect, admiration and love, Belinda and all the Hunting Bassets. You will always be in our hearts and thoughts, and your spirit will always fill the fields with thoughts of rabbits and the sound of harking hounds.
