I try to preserve my couches by using covers,
and when I'm not doing that, I turn the pillows.
That's been working great for a while, but now Doris
turn then and lays on them. She uses her snout in between
them to get a grip, then work the pillow out, rather amazing
technique. Sigh......

Steinar, Steinar. All these years and you haven't yet accepted that the house and furniture belong to the bassets and you are only there to provide service?
Way to go Doris! You have made a nice basset nest for yourself. Pretty great that your daddy got a sofa the same color as you too. If it wasn't for that yawn, we wouldn't know you were even on it!
The sooner you accept this concept the better off you'll be, Steinar. I thought YOU, of all people, KNEW this very important fact of Basset ownership. B)
Button loves pillows . . . Loves to chew them up, that is! First, he ever so carefully removes the zippers. This is followed by meticulous disembowelment of the stuffing inside. Then, he "decorates" the floor with the fluffy stuff, and finishes by wearing the zipperless, stuffingless pillow on his head!
I can't say enough about the leather furniture for bassetts!
Doris looks like the regal queen surveying her world in the second picture. Doris knows where the best seat in the house is, that's for sure. Steinar, haven't you learned that "Bassets Rule"!!!
