Do bassets get colds? Our dog, Jed, has been sneezing for the last few days. He also sounds as though he's trying to clear his throat. I noticed when we were walking last night, that the more he sniffs, the more he sneezes. If he were human, I'd say it was allergies.

Apart from that - he seems fine. A little listless in the heat, as usual. He's more of a cool weather guy.

My 2 get sneezing on occasion...don't really have an answer for it though.

Ive never really had that with my dogs but it's happened, extremely rarely tho.

It is a real possibility Atopy seems to be fairly common in bassets

[Lightning&Stomps]

Lightning has been sneezing a lot lately (as has the cat). We live in Kentucky, and we've gotten a lot of rain lately so everything's growing like crazy. He itches too, but not more than usual. I'm attributing the sneezing to pollen for now, but if it doesn't stop soon I'll consult a veterinarian.
