Hi guys,

I have noticed that My 1 year old Daisy has a couple of very small bald spots; one on her ear and one on her eyebrow. The one on her ear has been there for a few weeks and there is no sign of the hair returning.

I am almost certain that both spots are ones where i have removed a tick from.

has anyone else experienced this reaction from a tick?

Any ideas what else might be causing it?

Thanks!

Francis has the same and they are from where I removed a tick. He's now 8 1/2 years old and the hair never grew back.

We removed a tick from Maggie about a month and a half ago - it was right on top of her head. I've been waiting for the scab to heal (the vet picked at it to make sure my husband had it all out, which he did) but now it seems like as the scab shrinks it is being replaced with black skin and no fur. I feel kind of bad as it is right on top of her head and everyone asks about it.

Yeah, Daisy has one right on her eyebrow (the brown part) so now there is a little white spot :(

I have removed many more ticks from her though with no problem.... maybe the face and ears (where the hair is shorter) is more sensitive to them .... or just more noticable.
