Has anyone on the forum used Skin-Eze for their dog's allergy related skin problems?
Murray's armpits had become so hypersensitive this summer that I couldn't use Gentocin or Malaseb any longer to control his yeast and hotspots- any topicals would cause his skin to become inflamed. He had eruptive sores, was on antibiotics, prednisone, had cortisone injections , 3Vcaps,etc. - nothing was helping.
The vet told me to stop using topicals altogether, but his skin kept getting worse and worse- he was biting himself bloody, and the yeast was out of control. Finally the vet recommended Atopica, which Murray would be on indefinitely. I really didn't want to have him on medication long term.
Someone told me about an herbal product called Skin-Eze they had tried which seemed to help their dog, so I thought I'd try it before I started him on Atopica.
I've been using Skin-Eze Spray on his armpits for about a week, and it seems to both soothe and heal his skin. The armpit skin is actually starting to look like normal skin for the first time in 3 years- it has been chronically inflamed with eruptive sores for years, and it's actually starting to look healthy. He is also taking Skin-Eze capsules.
Now, the weather has changed, and maybe that's a factor in his improvement, but honestly, his skin has not looked this normal for years, no matter what the season-
The manufacturer says it will not help every dog, but that it does help many dogs- and I think this is really helping Murray.
Has anyone else here used this product, and if so, did it help your dog?
