I know several people who have made extensive use of their pet insurance policy. If you get pet insurance find out about coverage for pre-existing conditions. I noticed my cats policy excludes coverage for a respiratory virus until 2006 because I told them he had an upper respiratory infection in 2003.
I work for Home Depot and they've (God bless them) got a group rate for pet insurance. It won't cover Franny's glaucoma but it'll be good for everything else. The buying power of such a huge organization helps.
This is a relief because I was thinking of ways to sleaze Franny in as a "domestic partner".
