Ruby's ear

We've had the brown goo. I used baby wipes and cleaned it. A lot! Dixie's was the result of using some ear wash stuff the vet gave us.

She initially had an ear infection and was given something for it, along with this cleaner. It cleared up quickly.

Poor Ruby. She won't like the cleaning part ...

Poor Ruby! Try to keep her ear cleaned until you make it to the vet. Does it seem to bother her? If she is bothered by it maybe you should get her in sooner. I swear by the "Blue Power" ear treatment. Laci had a nasty dirty ear and I mixed up a batch of that and it cleared it right up. I do a maintainance using the Blue Power on both Shami and Laci and we've had no problems since. "Knock on Wood"

I just took my dixie to the vet for this... and beause I couldn't even touch her ear and she'd yelp. They told me she had a yeast infection in her ear and gave me washes to clean her ear with.

I really like the blue power stuff too. Brandy likes it better than the vet wash I buy. She doesn't shake her head as much afterwards with the blue power. I was amazed at how it just seems to desolve the gick out of her ears. It also works great on her pits. My nephew lives in TN and his dog was getting hot spots every summer and I gave him the recipe for it and for the last 2 summers they have kept the hot spots gone. Her ears are always bad but no infection so I set aside Thursday as my torture day as I call it. Cleaning ears, pits and cutting toenails.

Ruby has brown goo coming out of one ear. Even tho we clean often, my guess is that she has an infection. She's got an appt next week. In the meanwhile, what can I do for her?
