Seemingly overnight, Stomps developed a large lump on the knee of his hind right leg. Because it was on a joint and seemed to appear so suddenly, I freaked. A vet finally aspirated it and said it was just another fatty lipoma. So hopefully that's all Ruby's is. It is weird where these lumps pop up.
Sending good wishes your way. When Sadie was 3, she had a pea size lump on her elbow that grew to golf ball size in a month. The vet removed it. It was a benign tumor. We hope Ruby has nothing serious.
That's exactly what it is....a lipoma; fatty tumor on her left knee. It's larger than a golf ball tho and it scared ALL of us.
When the vet said she was going to aspirate it, I thought that meant drain it....nope, it means to take a drop or two out and analyze it. Vet said that they typically grow and if it's in the way, they'll have to operate. We certainly don't want that!
The last two times she was under anesthesia, they had trouble getting her to come out of it!
So, she's "fine" and we're all happy it's just something to watch.
