Holy Cow! We have been in need of rain since the summer and for some reason, God only knows, we have had anywhere from 5 to 10 inches around Fort Worth and Dallas since Friday night.

Poor Lucy...she just sits at the sliding glass door and pouts. She hasn't been able to play outside since Friday afternoon.

Sigh...

Here in Boston we've had unusually cold weather with a stiff wind out of the northwest. It makes going out to the park (which is on a hill overlooking the Charles River) a bit of a chore at this time of year. Franny and I are really looking forward to real spring weather.

No kidding--it has rained and rained and poured all winter. Walking outside some times is like having a bucket of cold water dumped on your head. Pearl takes it in stride, but Bella blinks and blinks as the raindrops come down and immediately looks depressed (tail goes down, head goes down) and wants to come inside now! I thought Bassets were hunting dogs--what'd they do, only go hunting in good weather?

Thankfully the "Big" snowstorm missed Mitchell by 20 miles here in South Dakota. I-90 is closed from Chamberlin and the Missouri River to the Wyoming line. Up to 15 inches of snow yesterday, still falling, with 4 to 5 foot drifts on the interstate. We just got a few flakes. Yep!!! We are wishing for Spring, too.
