Hi all, here are some pictures of my 3 1/2 month old basset baby, Boomer.

When we first brought him home (8 weeks old):

Being a silly puppy.

Out for a walk with mom.

Getting to ride in the truck with dad for the first time

Uh oh. Looks like trouble to me. ; ) He's adorable, and he knows it!
He's got an ornery streak a mile wide! The other day, we had a bag of sweet corn on the floor and he sneaked over, stole one, and went running through the house with it when he realized I saw him. It took about 5 minutes to get it from him, and he was quite pleased with himself.

He definitely knows he's a cutie; anywhere we go, people fuss over him and tell him how pretty he is. He, of course, eats it up. Esp. when we go to the farm store where I work and he gets to have a biscuit from the bulk bin.
What a cutie!!! I love the last picture where he's watching the world go by while riding.

Thanks for the compliments; I've seen a lot of cute pups here, too!

Hope y'all can stand a few more pics. These are from this evening, and too funny to not share.

I turned my back for a second, and Boomer decided to help me do dishes.

But, moooommm, I'm helping pre-rinse!

Such a good helper.

He's a very cute little boy.
Aww, he's adorable! Love those puppy bellies!
Oh wow, love the dishwasher pics! LOL! He's a cutie!

He is sooo cute!! Thanks for sharing the pics!! I love how he actually got onto the dishwasher door!
It was funny seeing him on the door, but the hubby and I agreed he shouldn't do it again as he will probably break the door. He still helps with dishes, just from the side.

Also, I noticed that his color has changed somewhat. His head and ears used to be mostly black, and are now turning rusty colored. Same with his legs and tail. Is this usual in bassets, or is he my Amazing Technicolor Basset Hound? ;-)

This is quite normal. Tricolor puppies a born pretty much black and white, with maybe a little tan, and the black fades into brown as the pup matures.

The diswasher pics are too funny! Flash does the exact same thing. Everytime I load the diswasher he's right there licking the plates and silverware trying to get every last scrap of food he can.
Look out Kitchen Aid, the hounds could put you out of business! Our hound loved loading the dishwasher time!

Thanks for sharing the pictures!
Oh my goodness, that hardly looks like the same dog! She still very pretty, tho. Boomer's mom had a lot of black on her body, so I'm hoping some of it will stay. His head and ears are now almost completely rusty (that's the color it looks like to us), underside of his tail and tushie are rusty and so are his legs. No matter what he looks like, we love him dearly.

I love the dishwasher pics too!!! Reminds me of my Bassets who like to pull socks from the washing machine if the front is open!!!!
Here is a video I took yesterday of Boomer trying to reclaim his pillow on the couch from our older cat, Penny.

How adorable! I think you stole my Molly ;) She looks just like Boomer and gets into the dishwasher too. Comical. It's so hard to get angry with them, isn't it?
Love the video! Wonder what he's "saying" to the cat? :p
Well, I can get angry, but it's hard to STAY angry! He's just so. darn. cute.

I was wondering, too, what he was telling Penny. I loved how he kept looking at the camera. I wonder what he was telling me.
