We are keeping her for 2 weeks to help socialize her. She is very friendly and SO SO sweet. She likes other dogs, people, & kids but gets nervous in new situations. She isn't use to being around traffic, kids on bikes, skatboards, etc. so that's where we come in. I promised to get her out as much as possible. She will get returned to the breeder in 2 weeks when we take our kids there for boarding.

She is very pretty. :) I'm not sure what the word for "hound" is in Spanish, but "dog" is perro. :)

Jasmine is beautiful. I'm sure you will have a wonderful time showing her the sights and sounds of city life. What a neat idea. I'm sure Stickers will enjoy having a playmate while Rusty is on the mend. Poor guy won't be able to join in the fun, but I bet they will keep him entertained anyway. Just tell the ladies to take it easy on that sweet loveable guy. Get well Rusty.

jasmine looks just like my snoopy - very regal - only snoopy's nails dont look as good as jasmine's - we had a bit of a fight with her last night over cutting her nails - she won yet again!

hope you have lots of fun with jasmine - shame the pups cant stay for two weeks too!

are they keeping the pups themselves or are they looking for good homes for them?

  Steinar! It's hard not to fall in love with Jasmine. She is incredibly sweet. VERY affectionate. I have no plans on adding a third dog to the family. I am enjoying having a visitor and a playmate for Stickers. But part of the pleasure is knowing she isn't a permanent fixture around here  I told the breeder I would be happy to help socialize her or anyone else but have no desire for a third Basset. It's a good arrangement for everyone :D

Yesterday, we took Stickers & Jasmine to PetSmart. Jasmine was so scared she peed AND POOPED in the store  After a quick cleanup she did finally settle down. I was determined not to leave the store on a bad note. We walked around, sniffed other dogs and meet almost every employee. The people that work there are amazing and give 100% to their customers! She is great with people, kids, dogs just new surroundings spook her. After 1 hour we bought a tub of Peanut Butter Pup Corn, had some and home we came. Overall, it was a good experience for her. She learned PetSmart is a good place nothing to be scared about. She passed out when we got home. Last night after dinner we went for our mile walk and met more people. She is getting better already!! Between nursing my boy and Jasmine & Stickers I can't wait till vacation. We return Jasmine to the breeder in 9 days and take our kids there for boarding!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
