Well, Paul mowed the lawn Thursday afternoon and Otto apparently found big clods of wet cut grass which , in keeping with his history as a goat impersonator, he promptly ate. Friday morning he started having problems- his stomach was not swollen, but he was agitated and salivating and trying to vomit. So off to the vets who x-rayed him and saw all the gas inside him.
They gave him apomorphine to induce vomiting, and charcoal in case he was poisoned (we did see some yard mushrooms in the vomit), then later in the day cerenia to stop the vomiting since he couldn't seem to stop on his own. The kept him all day to make sure he didn't torsion.
I brought him home Friday evening and he was not his jolly self, this is what happened:

I was told to restrict water and food for the evening and he got really mad- kept walking to his bowls and pushing them around, and glaring at me- he finally went into the living room and started plowing up area rugs, and when I followed him and told him to stop he turned and looked me directly in the eyes, picked up the corner of a rug, and started biting it! It was actually kind of funny to see him tell me off like that-
I spent the night giving him ice cubes and ended up sleeping downstairs with him.

He's back to normal today.
I did lose Murray to bloat/torsion 2 years ago, so this was actually pretty horrible for me, but at least I knew the signs of bloat. I will be watching Otto like a hawk now that's he's bloated once.

We didn't know that- thanks for letting us know! I won't be walking around in the brush due to tick phobia, but will definitely come out to see the dogs and talk to people- salmon awaits if you and Miriam have the time that weekend!

Re: Otto-Yeah, the vet suggested the same thing about tacking his stomach at some point- didn't expect this at 2 years old for sure.
