I have never seen a dog eat watermelon before. I think the she would have also eaten the rind if I let her. She was very stubborn in giving it up. I only let her have a small piece as I was concerned about the velocity in which it may come out the other end.

George loves baby carrots. I've never tried watermelon on him. We never buy it because I hate it and it won't keep long enough for Hubby to eat one all by himself. Maybe if George would help eat it, we could have it for Hubby. I suppose it's worth a try.

Yep, watermelon, apples, oranges, bananas, carrots, celery etc. etc. etc.

Mine love almost any fruit or veggie I give them. I am in the dog house all day if I forget the pumpkin and green beans with breakfast.

My Rocky (Doxie/rottie mix) loves fruit, but Scooter is more into veggies. She loves lettuce. I haven't tried them with watermellon. I wouldn't think a little bit would hurt them, it's full of vitamins.

Dozer will eat anything if you hand it to him, even if he turns his nose up at it when it's in his bowl. Once I gave him a piece of paper, and he ate it. He has never bit me, but will slobber all over my fingers if I'm not quick enough.
Digger on the other hand, has to sniff it first, then will carefully take it out of my hand. If he takes too long, Dozer will come and get it.

Sounds like Mocha and Beldin too ... they love fruits and veggies of all sorts.

They even broke into the fridge once (in the old place) and ate all the tomatoes!

And I discovered last night that George likes cheesecake. LOL I was making a no-bake mix, and I was licking the mixer thingies, and he was sitting at my feet giving me The Look, so I held one out to him and said "Wanna lick?" and he went after it as if he'd been licking mixer thingies all his life. I know, half of you are going "ewww! You let your dog eat off your dishes?" Well, um, yes, we do. But we wash them before WE use them again. That mixer thingie was ALL George's.
