Does anyone know where to adopt Bassets near N.S. (Willing to drive to PEI, N.B.). I don't think I am really ready for a puppy so adopting a little older dog seems like the best bet for me when I do end up deciding to get a hound. Really appreciate any and all help, thanks!

Contact the Basset Hound Club of Canada, or if you are prepared to go over the border, the BHC of America for the names of known reputable breeders. There are too many BYBs producing Bassets who may not conform either to the Breed Standard physically or temperamentally. Good luck!
