My new couch lasted 2 weeks, or almost as long as it took to get it -
even though they said they had it in stock....
The fabric doesn't handle their nails very well, they drag out threads
so the couch looks like it needs a shave now. I'm not sure I can demand
a new one, but I've never seen any couch doing so bad with dogs...

I bough a cover for the armrest, it was almost as expensive as the couch,
but it leaves the armrest nice, even when everything else is ruined.

And if you wonder what Emma looks like when I've just woken her up:

awww...what cute pictures!! What a cutie pie!!

we have leather couches and they are fantastic. Louie used to dig a little when we first got him and the couch held up. He's a very gentle boy with the couch now, but still it's a good couch. You'd never know we had a dog.

hopefully you can replace it...good luck!

What a bummer about the couch! We have a fabric type couch, terrible for dogs! Dog hair gets woven right into the fabric and it is impossible to remove! I know what kind of fabric I don't want next time! :p
I LOVE the picture of Emma waking up! She is adorable!

When we moved in June, I told DH it was time for leather. We got a couple of recliners and a love seat, and I love them. Mud and hair wipe off with a damp cloth, and -- best of all -- no stink!!! I'll never go with fabric again....

We love our leather couch...even when the dog's nails scratch them, (and they do) the couches just look sort of 'distressed' (decorator's term). If you don't mind the 'distressed' look, they last forever.
