How was he about the crate? Was he good at crating or did he fight it?

He was and still is great about the crate. Whined a little the 1st night, nothing since. Sleeps in it every night. 9-10 hours per night. Imagine, a Basset that likes to sleep!

He's a handsome boy =-) We've got an 8 month old Basset we've named Cannoli and are now hopelessly smitten with the breed. She is a noisy beast if we try to crate her, despite the people we got her from insisting she was crate trained. HA!
