I am a new mom of a precious basset named Tucker...I have 3 little boys and now a fourth.
He is doing great, but after reading some of your topics, I think he may have a urinary infection...he wets on the floor, but just a tiny bit and quite frequently...what do ya think?

I'm Cindy, I live in Salinas Ca with my bassets Rosie, Tucker & Miles. Rosie & Tucker are sibblings that I adopted last January and Miles almost a month ago. They're all 3 yrs old.

How old is your Tucker? If he's a baby it could just be the potty training thing but if you're concerned about a UTI have your vet check him out.

As for the pics there's a post at the top of this page that gives a link on how to post pics. I use www.photobucket.com for my online photo storage.

How old is he? Males have a tendency to dribble until 6 month or a bit older. Lack of sphincter control and strengh. IMHO it is one reason that bassets are Slooow to house train. That said still have him checked out to rule out the UTI possiblity which is also still real.

Welcome! Our vet uses a a kitchen ladle to catch the urine for a sample... very low tech- but stress free and most males are pretty cooperative It's worth checking!

LOL! At 7 weeks it's probably little puppy excitement! But it never hurts to be careful

In the first post at the top of the page is info on posting pictures. You need an on line web place (photobucket and snapfish are free) to put your picture first. My daughter has informed me that many internet services will give you free space as well- For example I've been with Cox for 5 years and just learned I have web space I'm a little slow on the computer thing myself!
