Who needs to wash dishes when you have a hound who will lick them clean for ya. LOL!! They are also great help when it come time to clean the refrigerator out from left over, Mattie is a great help... she makes sure she is standing next to refrig or trash can during this time. To catch anything that smells good to her.

I never realized what messy eaters my children were until my dear Chloe passed away. My goodness, what piggies I've raised! We all assumed that if if hit the floor, she would clean it up. LOL

Flash steals my slippers. Doesn't chew them, doesn't hide them, just takes them and tosses them around. He will also steal potatoes, plastic cups and pop bottles, given the chance....

We have this cat named Nibbler who loves the little toy mousies that are covered with rabbit fur. At least one of them has passed through a basset hound's digestive tract.

Haha these stories are too cute!

Fortunately I can leave food unattended though with mine. He didn't come like that, took a lot of hard work. He knows to sit and wait, and maybe some tricks depending on my mood, for his release word before he can chow down. This never fails to put a smile on my face as he begins to drool like he's never seen food before, doesn't matter if he waits 10 seconds or a few minutes! One time I was giving him his dinner and went to answer the phone while he was in his sit and wait. Forgot all about him, left to go handle some late chores, and returned two hours later to see him just sitting and drooling into his bowl! I'm the worst mommy ever.
