The only thing basset related about these pictures is that, like Lynne, I missed my hounds so much while away. Just thought these were too nice not to share.
This was taken in the Rocky mountains, Alberta, Canada, on our way to the Columbia Ice Fields:

Just to put the size of the glacier into perspective, New Yorks's Central Park would fit on it 90 times:

This one may be too big, but it was a breathtaking scene (hope it works):

Wow! Such beautiful scenery- I must agree- while I love to get away for a holiday I end up missing my bassets and wanting to go home :( Last trip I called home everyday... seemingly to check on my daughter, but it was actually to find out if Sami and Jake were ok :)

On our way to the glacier. There are 22 of these buses in the world. 21 are at the glacier, and the other is at Antarctica, for the scientists use:

The glacier is 1000 feet deep, and is actually compacted ice, not snow.
This mountain is 12000 feet high. It was just overwhelming to be up there!

It's impossible to take a bad picture, just aim your camera anywhere...

I can almost FEEL the cool crisp air coming off your photos... very refreshing in this heat and humidity!
