 Flash is a 1 year old male Basset hound who has been with me since he was a puppy. He's a great Basset who loves to play.

This morning when I fed him I noticed a lump on the left side of his jaw. It's actually just past the corner of his mouth. As I inspected it he whined a little, but I was interrupting his breakfast, so that may have contributed to the whining.

It doesn't seem to be bothering him too much and I'm calling the vet as soon as they open, but I was hoping someone here could give me some advice on this matter.

Possibly a swollen gland - infected????

Advice greatly appreciated!

No advice here, but a trip to the vet's is a great idea. I imagine this could be anything from an infected gland to a little cyst, so having it checked is in order. Please keep us updated, okay?
