ok is 11 inch. ears long enough to enter into the longest ear contest. since i have to pay 10.00 was wondering if i should do it? those who live in washington remember how long the longest ears where last year at the basset bash?

I don't remember how long the winner's ears were last year. But FWIW, Chloe's ears are about 10 inches long (base to tip) and I don't think hers were any where near the length of the winner. But, no matter what, I suggest entering since a portion of the money goes to rescue! (I believe you can wait and enter at the Bash if you want to check out the competition!) Maybe we will see you there.

Just measured Ruby's ears and each one is 11". No wonder she still steps on them.

And, she's scared of the tape measure.

Buckley came in 3rd last year at Basset Hound Rescue of Georgia's Basset Bash, but that is a free event (since the humans pay to get in, the bassets get in free of course). I believe Buckley's were something like 28-29 inches from tip to tip, so between 11 and 12 inches each. Just some experience for you to chew on. (no pun intended)
