Glen, our 15 year old basset hound, has a breathing problem. Almost every evening when we get home he gets excited to see us and that's when the problem starts. His tongue is turning purple/blue, meaning he doesn't get enough oxygen.
The vet said that his larynx is not working properly anymore. Surgery can be done - like putting in a "pipe" so he can breath easier.
Anybody any experience with that?
