happy monday everyone! i stayed up all night reading a really great book called From Baghdad, With Love. it's a true story about a marine who found a puppy in Fallujah right after the US invasion there, and it was a very dangerous place. Anyways, breaking the rules, he takes the puppy in and de-fleas is with kerosene and de-worms it with i think tobacco. him and a bunch of other people including reporters, other marines, and iraqi civilians go to amazing lengths risking their own lives to get the little dog named Lava back home to the states to live with the marine who found him. it was such a great story for anyone who is an animal lover like myself. it also gave a look into the war that we don't usually see in the media, which hit close to home for me since my brother is currently deployed in Afghanistan. anyways, the book is called From Baghdad, With Love by Lt. Col. Jay Kopelman. check it out! and y'all have a wonderful week!
