Jeffrey's Graduation

I am proud to announce that Jeffrey Virgil, our almost 6-month-old baby Basset graduated from Puppy class today with highest honors. The final test was a challenge, but he passed and received his certificate. We are very proud parents of our well behaved little guy. He now knows sit, down, stay, come, wait, leave it, take it, drop it, heel, and is learning how to shake hands. He is very reluctant on his drop it, though, and sits for a while with a sock or shoe in his mouth before letting go. Even when I'm holding a treat in front of his nose. He's a funny guy.

Jeffrey also got a new red sweater...

And a new friend named Gareth.

Sometimes he likes to chew on Gareth. That's when he has to "leave it."

Congratulations on Jeffrey's accomplishments! He's a sweet looking little guy.
Congratulations!

Love him in the red sweater! You might want to keep it when he grows out of it. I have a sweater of Ruby's that my mom knitted for her when she was a puppy and it's fun to see just how small it is.

Congratulations to you and Jeffrey!
Congratulations, that is quite an accomplishment! In fact you may want to consider further obedience training, and perhaps compete in Ralley. Sounds like he'd be really good at it!
