looks very much like normal basset behavior to me thats why I sing never smile at a crocodile to Menna she can get a whole staffie coss head in her mouth and nearly a whole chow head including all that fur.
I always think of bassets as half crocodile and half dog. I'm about half convinced they can un-hinge their jaw like a snake does, too, they have amazingly huge mouths.... :lol:
