For those houndies in the Binghamton, NY area it's time to start planning to bring hounds to the AHBA hunt on 5/2/2009 and a second hunt on 5/3/2009.
The location is the Broome County Beagle Club in Winsor, NY. The dogs will be running in fully fenced areas, so there is no chance of losing any.
For those brave enough to enter a hound, entries close at 7am -- visitors welcome all day
We will take small packs of bassets out turn them loose and watch as they try to find and run a rabbit. Most bassets, even rescues, still have the chase instinct and will readily join the other hounds.
