Hmmmm..... The Today Show did a blurb on the canine flu this morning, citing a couple of doggie day cares that closed because of the flu. And it appeared, in their report, that the flu has been identified in a number of states, several more than were mentioned here. 'Course, the Today Show is based in New York, and I've been hearing about outbreaks there for a few months.
I also got an email from a friend of mine whose daughter shows Pyrs. Two of her dogs went to a show in Kansas a couple of weeks ago, and now are dealing with this illness. Her vet won't allow dogs with flu symptoms in the clinic -- she's making house calls. Sounds like a very sensible approach.
I'm not alarmed, but my antenna is certainly up!
