Lynne's husband phoned me yesterday to ask that I inform Lynne's basset friends of her passing. And he wanted me to make sure to mention that not long after Lynne died, Huck jumped up on the bed, and laid down beside Lynne. So Jack asked their young granddaughter if she would sing for Lynne with Huck. He said Huck sat up, and howled loudly and with great gusto! He knew.

He said Lynne would want everyone to know that.

yes she would. : )

Huck and Lynne were inseperable. Because Jack has a disability, he can't handle three dogs. So Huck will be coming to live with Bo and Moose. (and me)

Lynne asked me a long time ago if I would take Huck. I would LOVE to have Huck. But I hoped the day would never come, because it would mean my friend is gone. : (

take care, friends...and if you smoke...stop today. : (

love, Sandy

Oh, Sandy! Such sad news about Lynne. She was a fighter, and I'm so sorry she lost her battle with cancer. My heart goes out to her friends and family, because they have lost a very special, wonderful, loving, and talented lady. My thoughts and prayers will be with them. Godspeed, Lynne, and rest in peace. You will be missed.

Huck is such a beautiful guy, and I know he will have a wonderful home with your family and Moose and Bo.
Take care Sandy, and Lynne was so lucky to have a friend like you.
Love,
Connie

I am so sad about Lynne's passing, but happy for you that Huck will become a member of your family. He is one of the most handsome bassets I've ever seen. I keep wondering if he misses his cruises to Alaska every summer....

His howling for Lynne is the most loving thing he could have done. Please let Jack and everyone else know how many will alwasy miss Lynne.

I'm sure Huck will miss Lynne, but it's good to know that he'll become part of a good family. I know you and yours will take good care of him.

I'm so very sorry to hear of Lynne's paassing. I wish I could have met her. Huck will be so happy with you and the boys. What a wonderful gift you gave her. The day I came home after I put my Nellie down, just days before 9/11, I came home from the vets to a howling Molly. She's 12 and never howled before, and hasn't since. They know. Via con Dios Lynne. Take care all, Belinda.
