Out of pure curiosity I am trying to estimate my Basset's adult weight. She is currently 6 months old. 42 pounds. She is definitely on the skinnier side. She has very pronounced curves (thin abdomen region, hour glass figure. LOL).

When I put her data into the calculators it says she will only be 49 pounds. If Bassets don't stop growing until they are 1.5 to 2 years old it is only saying she will gain 7 pounds. I find that hard to believe. Her mom was 50 pounds and the father 60.

Anyone have any realistic idea on what to expect? Again, just for curiosity purposes.

Apart from how the parents are, I believe the frame is usually there by around 7 months, but that it can take quite some time before they are fully bodied up, males taking longer than bitches, usually. There is no norm for the breed - just height at the withers (US Standard) so it is difficult to estimate adult weight/size.
