We are new, but have been doing some reading for some time now and thought it would be nice if we introduced ourselves... I am Paula and obviously my dogs are Daisy Mae an almost 2 yrs old mini dachshund, Flash a little over a year old basset and Kiayah 2 yr old aussie mix. Now to give you a little info on the dogs and how we got them...lol Just cause they are my babies and I love talking about them...
Daisy Mae, who my husband likes to call my perfect dog. Only because before we got the dogs we have now. We had a great dane which passed a little over a yr ago. He was my pride and joy as well as my heart and soul! The first dog that we ever had that fit this family perfectly. Well after his passing my husband gave me time to grieve as he was attached to my hip at all times, even went to work with me everyday. I am a kennel tech. We take in strays and I was constantly trying to bring one home as I missed having a dog in the house. So, one day hubby looked at me and said would you leave me alone about bringing a dog home. I am trying to find you the perfect dog. We do have to be picky as hubby and our oldest son are allergic her certain dog breeds. So, with in a few days of him saying that he found Daisy Mae. She was 9 wks old and the cutest thing ever! And yes, she is momma's girl threw and threw. I say where is momma's baby girl and she comes running to give me tons of kisses. We had her for almost a yr when hubby decided he wanted to get a basset hound. So once again the search began..lol He called me at work one day to find out what time i would be getting home. So, we could go pick up his new basset puppy. He is the most handsome boy, but then my opinion is bias...ha ha ha He was 10 wks old and we fell in love with the long ears and big feet. ha ha ha He has turned in to a major daddy's boy.. Thank goodness as all the other dogs that have come into our home have been attached to me. Any who, These to made the perfect pair. Then a wk before easter we were leaving hubbys work and here come this very skinny, very malnourished dog that looked like she had had pups. Feeling very bad for her we took her in. She came with 9 pups, which all found wonderful and loving homes. I honestly dont know how she survived and kept them pups as healthy as she did. She was nothing, but skin and bones. But now she is a very pretty brindle aussie mix. So there you have it. lol sorry its so long but I couldn't help myself! ha ha ha
