Our basset, Doc, doesn't really seem to mind, but he's got a very amusing case of gas. Each time he reaches to a countertop or somehow stretches his abdomen, he releases a little "ptht" of gas! It usually doesn't have an odor, but keeps us laughing. :p He also seems to burp. Odd little noises at least a couple times a day that sound like dog burps.

Doc is an 11 month-old puppy who is completely healthy except for a case of elbow dysplasia. He's got tons of energy, healthy stools, and no vomiting. For food, he gets Iams large-breed puppy chow. NO HUMAN FOOD!

Any idea what might be causing this?
Thanks!

I'm sorry, but I started giggling with the first post, and haven't managed to stop. Max sometimes has gas, too, but his are mostly the silent and deadly type.

Yup, Huckleberry, it's no big deal. Franny's diet very rarely changes from one day to the next but some days...well, let's put it this way, I think I know what a chemical gas attack would be like.
