I was looking up what a Harehound was and came across this cute little game for those of us who have too much time on their hands. ;) Hare and Hounds

Never did figure out what's a harehound. Dean, Billy ?

By looking at the picture I would assume it would be a Harrier. Belinda.

As far as I know a hare hound is any type of scent hound used for running hare. Generally this would be the faster hounds that can cover lots of ground. Bassets do a good job of running hare. If anybody wants to see this, there is a large pack fun hare hunt in Mass. on the Sunday after Thanksgiving.

Toughy goes for the blueberry pie. It runs at a pace more his speed.

in his younger days he was an ecellent mouser!

The harrier on the other hand can cover ground quickly. Even though his poppa is from an english hunt pack he has shown no inclination to hunt.
