Happy Mother's Day to all you basset mommas out there from Boomer and family! Got a sloppy kiss from my little boy, lol.

We are going to go to a state park and have a picnic and also celebrate hubby's birthday, which happened to fall on Mother's Day this year.

So, lots of love, drool, and happiness to one and all!

Know what I got for Basset Momma Day? Walked into the living room just as both mine were simultaneously pooping on the floor. Do these dogs need to synchronize EVERYTHING they do?? I do love them!

So Happy Mother's Day! And Happy Birthday, Boomer's Dad!

We had a good picnic, but it was really windy, and kept blowing our picnic around. I got to have some of the same food as momma and daddy 'cause it was a special day! I got half of a turkey sandwich and a hard-boiled egg. Momma tried to get me to eat carrots, but I spit them out. I also got a couple of bites of a granola bar, it was good.

We went for a long walk around a lake, but we couldn't go in it, some stupid park rule. I found a dead snake and rolled on it, boy that was fun, until momma realized what I was rolling on and made me get up and walk again. Momma's can be spoilsports.

I was glad when the walk was over, I was really tired and thirsty. And then we discovered ticks on us, so momma and daddy were picking ticks off each other, and then on me.

We stopped at the grandma's farm and gave grandma her present, and I got a cookie! Grandma really likes me and always gives me a yummy when I visit. Daddy was really funny, he found a couple ticks under his shirt and started dancing around and stripping his clothes off in the middle of grandma's kitchen. Momma said we better remember the bug spray next time, and she's gonna buy me a flea and tick collar.

When we got home, I was such tired boy and wanted to sleep, but momma said, no, you have to have a bath because you rolled on a dead snake and we want to make sure we got all the ticks off. So, I got a bath, and my ears cleaned, and ran around the house for a few minutes and took a really long nap. Until suppertime, of course.

Momma says she'll post some pictures and a video tomorrow, we are all very tired. G'night everyone, I hope you all had a good Mother's Day with your momma's!

Ok, here are the pictures. None of the actual picnic as we were too busy chasing our food and papers around! When I figure out the video, I'll get that posted, too. I also posted this set in the albums.

Let's get going, mom and dad!

C'mon, hurry! There are things to smell and dead animals to roll on!

Lots of things to smell here.

Rollin', rollin', rollin' on a dead snake...

What do you mean it's not dead? Ha ha, very funny, mom!

Very thirsty, that was a long and hot walk.

I'm ready to go home for a nap, now!

Momma is going crazy with pictures today, I think the heat has fried her brain.

She posted another new album of a conversation I had with her about my chores. Stupid chores.

Thanks, Worm! Momma says you are quite a looker, too.

I still have to get daddy a gift. I ate a pair of his slippers, so we have to buy him a new pair.

Nebraska is a nice place, I like it a lot. Not too crowded, and good chickens!

My momma wants to go back to lagooona beach, and I hope she will take me! I'll show them goons who's boss, aroooooo, aroooooo!

I never did put away my toys, momma just sighed and said I'm a typical kid.
