I went online to the two hotels mentioned for block of rooms and no rooms are available. I even called the Hawthorn and was told they're booked up b'c of the car event.

Are we sure we want to have our Cyberhoud get-together the same weekend as the Nascar thing?

Apparently the Nascar thing is the 9th thru the 11th but apparently people are getting there the week B4 to do their thing. Hopefully you'll have better luck.

Thanks for the info, Janice. I've got a quote from Motel 6 Tropicana for around $60--$70 per night. I was kinda waiting to see if more people signed up before trying to secure but maybe I should go ahead and reserve now? Sandy, what do you think? Anyone else want to weigh in?
