I would work with a certified trainer immediately to quell this behavior. My basset was food aggressive all his life until one day when he became food vicious. He attacked me twice and bit me very badly. Once I chalked up to my fault. The second I was trying to clean up his vomit and he lunged at me and kept coming. I got badly bitten. There is nothing more terrifying than seeing your own dog coming after you. I was so afraid of my beloved dog I chose to euthanize him. It tore me apart but on the advice of two very good vets I did it. Get control of this right now unless you want the heartache in the future
