I just received this in the mail yesterday from an old friend who just visited earlier in December. It is sooooooooo cute!!

It is a story of a duck named Opus who goes on a search for the Last Great Basselope! Great kids book!

But didn't someone 're-gift' a basset key chain, and Basset playing cards to you once!?

I seem to recall that "someone" did re-gift me a key chain (that I have on my new (to me) convertible) and playing cards which are already on our boat. But....those weren't Christmas presents, rather they were from a dear new friend of mine from up in Canada somewhere - Moose Jaw, I think.

I love that! I have a picture book called Beatrice Doesn't Want To. It is about a little girl who doesn't want to go to the library and read books. All the characters are bassets! I'm going to keep an eye out for this one, though.

I had forgotten all about that book. I have always enjoyed comimcs and I remember that one from when I was younger. I love it.
