Hi all. I have not visited this forum for quite some time. For the past three years, I have been dealing with many things with my angel, Emma. She got glaucoma...lost one eye...then a year later went blind in the other eye. I got so much advice from this forum...thanks to all of you. Especially to Francis' mom, Bev. Are you still here Bev? I need to search this forum and get back in touch.
Our Emma went to the bridge Saturday morning. We are devastated and it feels like someone is standing on my chest. I'm not quite sure I'm fully breathing on my own yet! She had lost the ability to stand on her own the two days prior to us taking her in. Although saturday morning--the morning we took her in--she seemed a little better. Something I'm still trying to deal with. But I have to believe that what we did was right. She was 12. And we loved her so.
So again, thank you for all the help I've gotten over the years here...all my basset questions were always answered. You are a great group of people. Kiss all your bassets today in honor of my Emma.
