Wendy, you may laugh at me here--but the Bag Balm that is used for cow's udders is miraculous with dry noses. My vet told me about it years ago, when I had an Australian Shepherd who had Parvo when we adopted him. His poor little nose was awful! I'd apply the bag balm when he was tired and sleepy, so he didn't lick it off. It worked wonders...and you could buy it at the feed store. I don't think it was very expensive, but it worked much better than the vaseline.

I'll definitely give that a try! Poor Indy's nose scratches when you rub it :(

Noonie has problems with dry nose too. The bag balm suggestion sounds like a good idea. I would like to try that myself, but I'm afraid he would rub it off on the furniture. I was thinking maybe a water based product such as KY might work. I know this suggestion is a bit out there, but I'm going to ask my vet if this would be okay to try. Good luck to you.
